Bitcoin Wakeup Call

I started this chart in February 2025 as a simple way to communicate Bitcoin’s value in terms that actually matter;   purchasing power.  We can look back and verify the past. The future, of course, is less certain. But the projections shown here follow the same pattern history has already revealed.

This isn’t about precision. It’s “back of the napkin” math. You don’t need to be a financial expert to see what’s happening.

The chart compares Bitcoin’s performance as a store of value against the U.S. dollar’s declining purchasing power, based on CPI data. The same logic applies to any fiat currency tied to centralized systems, petrodollar dynamics, or debt-driven economies.

That said, this model assumes relatively stable systems and honest reporting, both of which are open to question. Official inflation metrics often understate the true erosion of purchasing power. Some would call it debasement.

Math doesn’t lie. People do.

Legitimate decentralized cryptocurrencies, those with real technology and real adoption potential will continue to emerge as stores of value over time. Some may help free the average worker from financial constraints. Others are simply speculation.  All are subject to the laws of risk and investments.  Spend time studying the space with a first principles lens. As your understanding improves, your decisions will become clearer.

If this makes sense to you… what are you going to do about it?  It doesn't have to be about being a whole coiner.  It's about Satoshi accumulation over time.
